Belts - How to measure
The easiest way to measure for a new belt is to measure an old belt!
To do this, lay your existing belt flat on a table as straight as possible. Measure from where the leather turns around the buckle to the hole you currently wear it on. If you haven't worn it for a little while, try it on, make a note of the buckle and lay it on the table and measure. If your current belt isn't leather and is made of a thin material, please add 1/2" (16mm) to your measurement. Please provide me with this measurement.
If you do not currently own a belt, then instead you can use your waist/hip/trouser size.
However you will need to add 2" (5cm) to this measurement to allow room for your trousers or jeans, clothes being tucked in and to allow for the thickness of the leather. If you use this method, please ensure you take the measurement where the belt will sit (whether this is your waist or hips) as there can be a big difference in hip and waist measurements.
